Frameworks Compared
Frameworks Compared is about frameworks which are repeatable sequence of decisions for one specific problem, and it works with any tool. This hub explains how a Notion Elevation framework differs from the other things people buy or use to solve the same problem: apps, templates, courses, checklists and done-for-you services.
What a framework is, and what it isn’t
A framework tells you what to decide, in what order, and why. It is not software, a layout or a to-do list. Tools sit inside a framework as examples for each step, and you can swap them without rebuilding the system. That is the idea behind “Tools Change. Systems Stay.”
How to choose
- Your process is settled and you want it automated: use an app or system.
- You don’t yet know what to build or in what order: start with a framework.
- Your situation is irregular, spans several tools, or changes over time: a framework holds up better.
- You want both: use the framework as the operating model and an app as the execution layer.
